In Short: Employee/applicant information is collected from the employee/applicant. Business contact information is collected from potential and actual suppliers and customers.

We collect certain information from an employee/applicant, via Motiv’s web site, our service providers’ websites, and via other methods such as email and electronic and paper forms. This information is used exclusively to evaluate an applicant for employment at Motiv and/or for employment-related purposes, such as benefits administration and employee/applicant communication.

We collect certain information from individuals who are or are employed by potential or actual suppliers and customers. This information is used to communicate with, provide services/product to, and/or obtain services/product from those suppliers and customers.

The information we collect includes:

Personal information as defined in subdivision (e) of Section 1798.80. We collect personal information, such as passport number, driver’s license number, and health insurance information, necessary to provide employee benefits and meet legal obligations.
Characteristics of protected classifications. We collect data, such as race, marital status, sex, and age, necessary to provide employee benefits and meet legal obligations.
Commercial information. We collect data, such as products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, necessary to provide our customers with our products or services.
Professional and employment-related data. We collect data necessary to evaluate potential employment candidates for a position at Motiv.
Education information. We collect data necessary to evaluate potential employment candidates for a position at Motiv.
Sensitive personal information. We collect data, such as social security number and racial or ethnic origin, necessary to provide employee benefits and meet legal obligations.

Motiv retains the data it collects indefinitely.

In the preceding 12 months, Motiv has collected identifiers, personal information as defined in subdivision (e) of Section 1798.80, characteristics of protected classifications, commercial information, internet activity information, geolocation data, professional and employment-related data, education information, and sensitive personal information.

2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

Motiv has only shared or disclosed your data to customers for performance on Motiv’s contracts (i.e., identifiers as necessary to authorize access to a customer’s facility) or to vendors providing services on behalf of Motiv (i.e., payroll and benefits providers).
