The Production Engineer plans and designs methods to improve production processes. Reviews and modifies existing processes and develops solutions to increase productivity and reduce cost, while complying with approved quality standards. They provide leadership within the Production Control team.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Production Engineer will:
Manage the release of new and revised process specifications utilized to support projects from start to finish in an aerospace environment
Be responsible for the implementation of processes, including guiding and overseeing tool development needed to effectively implement new and existing processes
Coordinate with the person requesting the new or revised process specification to ensure that the specification content meets engineering intent and is clear and technically substantiated
Gain consensus with Engineering, Quality and Process Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure that the proposed specification and implementation are effective
Work as part of the production control team and provided leadership in daily planning, priorities, and issue resolution
Oversee process flow of material in and out of inventory

Experience working with all levels of management
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus

Education, Experience, and Training
BS Degree in Engineering
5+ years’ experience in Quality, Engineering, or Supply Chain
Previous experience in quality or business process engineering
Previous experience in management or team leadership role
